I loved reading your list. There are some books on it that I'd like to read one day. I can't say for sure when as I'm pretty bad about sticking to a list but who knows.
Hi Iliana, thanks -- I was trying for variety, but for 2007 I think I'll just stick more to the books I already have at home, unread.
And I know exactly what you mean about sticking to a list. My 2006 list, I only managed to finish 42.5 out of 100.
I always admire people who make reading lists, even if they only manage to finish half. I inevitably stray from any list unless it's required and may jeopardize my school standing. I've read "The Immoralist" which was really good and am on "My Name is Red" right now, and I've got my eye on that "Twelve Caesars".
I find list of books to read fun. And I enjoy looking at other people's list too. But I guess list are a way of aspiring to a goal too.
Do tell how you like "My Name Is Red" - I keep getting interrupted everytime I read it.
Ahh, I have too really. I was distracted by another novel, and with all the Christmas fuss I haven't made it past page 50, I'm sure. I plan to bunker down during Christmas and make some real progress--it's for an online bookclub so I have a deadline.
