I was mo0re intrigued by the final battle scene when the Emperor's men annhilated Jay Chou's men. Where were the Emperor's men hiding to be able to spring up so fast? Their SOP must be damn bloody good. And his storeroom must be damn big to house the millions of chrysanthemums that came pouring out to replace those stained with blood.
You know, Miss Ziyi Zhang does not compare to Gong Li.
Scenes where Gong Li's hair was loose made me think of her in Geisha.
Ah Leng: Eh, youhave to admit, the palace eunuchs cleaned up after the battle DAMN FAST!
Gong Li is great. She's always good when she plays the intransgient woman caught in unfair, oppressive situation. I mean, look at "Ju Dou," "Raise Red Lantern," and even "Memoirs of a Geisha."
Ziyi Zhang so low class compared to Gong Li.
Jay Chou is trying so hard in the movie. Poor boy trying to emo.
