Back from Hanoi

Hi Everyone. I'm back home, safe. First order of business is most mundane: laundry. Oh joy.

I'm glad I had time to catch up on my reading this week. Finally finished Sodom and Gomorrah, The Moon and Sixpence and Fathers and Sons.

On the downside -- I have neglected my NaNoWriMo this whole week. Argh! I'm going back to work tomorrow.

It's 3:21 am and as I'm waiting for the laundry to be done, I've just picked up The Prisoner and The Fugitive -- the next volume of the Proustian epic. Things seems to really be picking up again with the Albertine episode. I'm wondering if I can finish the epic before the end of this year. I only have about a month to go -- but you think it's do-able?

Wow, that trip flew by, huh? Glad to hear you made it back safe! I always dread laundry when I get home from a trip...there's so much of it...

Reading Proust in Hanoi, now there's an experience that not many people have ;) I'm sure you can finish by the end of the year, just neglect all your other books, they'll understand!

Welcome back! Glad you had a nice time. I've got to get back to reading Proust. I'm starting to sound like a broken record saying that.

I must have heard you wrong, thought you'd have been gone for 3 weeks.

I'm getting ready for my trip, flight tomorrow night. I dread about the laundry I'll have incurred while I'm in Malaysia! 16 days in this humid hot weather--gotta find a local laundry service!

Stefanie -- Actually, I keep telling my friends I'm going to try to finish Proust too. And they just nod, and nod. I'm sure you'll jump back to Marcel when you're ready. He can be a little weary on the reader sometimes, isn't he?

Matt -- 3 weeks? I wish I had that kind of leave. :) But now that I'm back, you're going away. Have a safe trip. And don't worry about the weather in Malaysia. It's actually the monsoon season, so it's cooler right now.
