Perspective

Recall that time when I mentioned writing a resume? Well, the dice have been casted: The interview is scheduled for tomorrow.

I'm oddly nonchalant about it. I just think if it's going to happen, it's going to happen. My whole life has been spent chasing after things - and losing them because I wanted them too much.

Let's learn to take a step back and try to retain some perspective.

Oooh, good luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you D-O! I'm sure you'll do great :) It's a good thing to be going into it with a nonchalant attitude. That's how I was with my last interview and I got the job ;)

Oh I know all about chasing after things, wanting them too much, screwing it up because of wanting too much. I, too, am learning to let go. Looking back, it's obvious that even when I've wanted something really bad, it wasn't necessarily the right thing.

Chris Hahaha. You must have been really relaxed in your last interview then. Appreciate the good thoughts. Let's just see how it goes.

gartenfische Exactly. And sometimes, miraculously - it's only when I stopped wanting it, then it falls straight on my lap. It goes against everything we are taught - that to succeed, to get what you want, you have to grab it.

What a paradox.

ah leng Thanks! Wah lau. I'm always surprised when you comment. It reminds me that you actually read this blog. ;p

Melanie & Ovidia Thank you. :)

Suddenly struck with a sense of expectation. Oops.

Ah Leng Yes. In a hot, dry, expensive place. I will not be seeing you for a while if I take the offer.

The upside is - it cost about USD 100~200 to fly from Dubai to Egypt on a budget airline. :)

Melanie, Dorothy, Bloglily & Stefanie Sorry for not replying earlier. If you guys are reading the later post, I have been accepted.

Right now I am still considering the offer.
