Bookmooch Update

I'm amazed. Barely 24 hours as a Bookmooch member and I already have 7 titles mooched. But at this rate, the overseas postal will be hefty. Wow.

I love Book Mooch! It can be hard to find particular titles, though, especially if you are looking for something popular. But I keep a long wishlist on there and books on it appear pretty frequently. What is your name over there, if you don't mind sharing?

I love book mooch, too!!!! It can definitely be fast and furious if you have books inventoried that appeal to the masses. I've more or less given up on trying to snag new books for myself, and I get a lot of classics from mooching.

Enjoy the ride!

*sigh* I still don't know what book mooch is. :) But I'll look it up and see for myself.

Yay, you've joined the moochers :)
I tried doing some mooching this weekend but the site was running a bit too slow so I gave up. I have points burning a hole in my account!

Isn't Bookmooch great? And just wait until you start mooching books for yourself and the book you wnat is on a bunch of other wishlists and you beat everyone to mooch. It's a little thrill :)

Dorothy Sure, no problem. I use the handle of "darkorpheus" - not very creative, I know. :)

I seriously need to look into building my wishlist. Right now I'm still just looking at what to giveaway.

Andi Yes, I get the idea it's very competitive. (It's kind of scary.) I throw out Perdido Street Station and WHAM! Email to request for mooch!

Matt If you do sign up for bookmooch, maybe you want to drop me a line. I might have a copy of Gentleman at the Parlour somewhere in the house. Or maybe it's another title where he goes to Asia. Hmm.

Carl Yay to more bookshelf space too! Somewhere out there in Lisbon will be a nice lady reading my copy of Perdido Street Station. And a guy in Japan reading my copy of The Code Book. The thought of it is cool.

Iliana I read about how people are complaining about how slow it was. But it was okay when I first signed on. Maybe it's just the peak period that's slow?

Stefanie Haha! You are definitely an Aries. You make Bookmooch sound like a competitive sport!
