MUSIC | Siouxsie Sioux is back

The Times interviews the high priestess of goth-punk-rock here.

If you're too young to remember Siouxsie and the Banshees, don't tell me! It'll only make me feel lousy about my age.

Meanwhile, sample the single, "Into the Swan" from her new abum, Mantaray via the "evil" of YouTube:

Mantaray, available in stores September 11, 2007. Or later.

That's awesome! And she still looks like the same old Siouxsie...and she hasn't sold out. She's made her sound modern while still sounding like herself...I like it!

Sorry--I am going to comment here on a previous post of yours--I wasn't sure you'd see it--I watched Broken English this weekend--I actually watched it three times. There was something about it--I thought it was well done. I could just relate to her (Parker Posey's character) on certain things. I think I must have seen your mention of it and it was somewhere in my subconscious as I found it on Netflix last week and added it. Did you get to see it finally?

Chris Yeah, except when I saw the make-up, it felt a little Bjork-ish? *grin*

I like that new single though.

Danielle Don't worry about it. Commenting here is just fine.

No, I didn't manage to catch "Broken English" afterall. The cinemas made way for the "Bourne Ultimatum" that weekend. But glad you liked it. I intend to wait around. Knowing my friends, eventually someone will buy the DVD and I'll borrow it.

Nymeth I only found out recently. She seems to be doing pretty well even after all these years though.
