This is one of my favorite songs of all time. Love Billie Holliday and love hearing her sing this song. So much emotion in that song. This one and Gloomy Sunday always get me.
Chris It's beautiful isn;t it? I found it haunting when I first heard it - thought it was very gothic. Then someone pointed me to the history behind the song and it stayed with me.

She is amazing, and I agree with Chris, this is one of my faves of hers, too. I never thought of the Gothic angle, but you are right.
